Marybert School Celebrates World Environment Day 2024
On June 5th, 2024, Marybert School proudly celebrated World Environment Day with the inspiring motto “Let’s Beat Plastic Pollution.” This significant day was marked by a series of engaging and educational activities aimed at raising awareness about the critical issue of plastic pollution.
The event began with a series of speeches by students and teachers, highlighting the importance of environmental conservation and the steps we can all take to reduce plastic waste. These thought-provoking speeches set the tone for the day’s activities, emphasizing the collective responsibility we share in protecting our planet.
A captivating play performed by our talented students further illustrated the harmful effects of plastic pollution on our environment. Through creative storytelling and powerful performances, the play conveyed the urgent need to adopt sustainable practices and reduce our reliance on single-use plastics.
In a practical demonstration of our commitment to the environment, most of our students participated in a community cleanup outside the school premises. Armed with gloves and bags, they diligently collected garbage, focusing on plastic waste. This hands-on activity not only helped clean up our local area but also instilled a sense of responsibility and environmental stewardship in our students.
Marybert School’s celebration of World Environment Day 2024 was a resounding success, reflecting our ongoing dedication to environmental education and action. We are proud of our students and staff for their enthusiastic participation and for setting an example in the fight against plastic pollution. Together, we can make a difference and create a cleaner, greener future.
