Marybert School Pre-Primary Children Explore TigerLily Petting Farm

On February 10 and 11, 2025, the pre-primary children of Marybert School embarked on an exciting educational journey to TigerLily Petting Farm. This hands-on learning experience allowed young learners to engage with nature, interact with animals, and explore various traditional and scientific concepts in an immersive setting.

During their visit, the children had the opportunity to feed farm animals, fostering a sense of responsibility and empathy toward living creatures. They also explored the mechanism of hydropower, gaining insight into sustainable energy sources. Additionally, they learned about traditional methods of weighing, rice pounding, stone grinding, and curd churning—activities that offered them a glimpse into Nepal’s rich cultural heritage.

One of the highlights of the trip was observing the process of seed preservation, which helped the children understand the importance of conserving resources for future generations. To add to the excitement, they also enjoyed horse riding and a thrilling tractor ride, making the experience both educational and fun.

This interactive farm visit was designed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world experiences. By engaging in these activities, the children developed a deeper appreciation for nature, agriculture, and traditional practices. The trip not only enhanced their understanding of various concepts but also made learning more meaningful and engaging.

Marybert School is committed to providing experiential learning opportunities that nurture curiosity and creativity in young minds. This visit to TigerLily Petting Farm was a testament to our dedication to holistic education, ensuring that children learn through exploration and hands-on experiences.
